I am a Bachelor of Social Work student currently completing my first semester of internship with Authentic Coaching and Counseling. I am dedicated to developing the skills needed to support individuals experiencing mental health challenges and homelessness. My passion for social work is rooted in a deep commitment to empowerment, dignity, and meeting people where they are. Although I am early in my professional journey and have not yet worked directly with clients, I am eager to learn, grow, and contribute meaningfully to the communities I serve. I am especially drawn to working with adults facing barriers related to mental illness, housing instability, and systemic inequities. Through my internship, I aim to build foundational experience in assessment, resource navigation, community support, and compassionate engagement. As I start my training, I look forward to collaborating with experienced professionals, participating in hands-on learning opportunities, and developing the competence needed to provide effective, empathetic, and ethical support. My goal is to become a social worker who inspires hope, encourages resilience, and helps individuals move toward stability and positive change, one step at a time.
