I believe it’s important to lay a positive foundation for self-expression. I have worked with children and adolescents in various settings since 2008 as a certified child life specialist and mental health professional including hospitals, emergency departments, hospice, and LMHA. I believe having a bachelor’s degree in child development has assisted me in gaining a unique perspective in helping youth and adults through tough times. I am currently studying at Tarleton State University to achieve my master’s in social work to become a licensed therapist. I utilize Trust Base Relational Inventions (TBRI) and trauma-informed care to create a safe environment for individuals to explore and express their thoughts and feelings.

I believe my main attribute is being present in the session while attentively listening in effort to discover a clients fears, goals, and ambitions! My experience provides me the ability to provide an ecleptic approach to meet the individual or couples needs.
I strongly believe my personal life experience and my education allows me to be more suitably equipped and able to identify and relate to the trauma caused to the individual sufferer and family. Let me help you get your life back on track!

As a therapist, I offer a perspective from the outside, listening with empathy and providing nonjudgmental feedback. My therapy is compassionate, non-threatening, direct, and focusing on your strengths offering short term and long term counseling. I work with adults, children, and families. I am trained in EMDR,
Cognitive and Mindfulness based therapies.
Meeting with a therapist for the first time can be scary, so I try to provide a safe environment for you to focus on the issues that are cause you difficulty.

Children and families have the right to a safe and therapeutic environment. I am studying at Walden University to achieve my Master of Social Work working w/ children and families. My expected graduation date is November 2022! As a strong believer of “WE ARE BETTER TOGETHER” I know that there’s so much hope in seeking psychotherapy services, and individual and family counseling. As we as a nation continue to endure the battles in their world, the connectedness of one another should always remain. I have a deep passion with working with children of all ages and I have been committed to advocating for at-risk youth and those experiences unique uncertainties since my very first internship placement in 2007. After eleven years of working with individuals experiencing trauma from intimate partner violence, I moved on to become the Positive Alternative Coordinator at an addiction outpatient treatment center; where bringing hope and joy in the communities is the number one priority. I am also a Certified Prevention Specialist and am trained in the Lifeskills curriculum. As a beginning intern at ACCC, I look forward to connecting with you as I expand my understandings of therapy techniques and approaches!
My hobbies include photography, coordinating events, spending time with my huge family, creating TikTok recipes, napping when I have the time, and traveling.
Candace Cook, MSW
Hello, My Name is J’Nayle Harkey, and I have a passion for helping adolescents take control of their mental health. And I believe one of the most important things as a Social Worker is to be an active listener. I utilize Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) and Crisis Intervention with adolescents wanting to overcome their trauma. If you have an adolescent ready to start their journey to self- empowerment, I want to help them recognize their worth.
